8 | A. Ya. Ayzenshtat, ES Lyapin, LM Gluskin. probably Kiev - but I don't remember. LB Shneperman (at that time he was at Biysk Pedagogical Institute - Biysk is a small place in, I think, the Altai mountains; may be spelled as Biisk or Bijsk in English; then he moved to Pedagogical - or maybe another - Institute in Minsk. "Institute" in Russia is a sort of a university devopted to a rather narrow field. Now he is Prof. emeritus in Minsk, Ayzenshtat is in contact with him and tells me news and gioves him my greetings), A. Ya. Ayzenshtat, ES Lyapin, LM Gluskin.
9 | A.Ya Ayzenshtat, KLM Gluskin, ES Lyapin A.Ya Ayzenshtat, KLM Gluskin, ES Lyapin. By the way, Ayzenshtat is alive and lives in Philadelphia now. She is almost blind but her son lives in Philly too. On the photo she keeps a camera in her hands. I am positive she asked me to make similar photos of the same group with her camera. She may have these and other photos with her. I can give you her phone number (speak slow English) or her son's e-mail address. Refer to me. My name is pronounced as "sine" in "sunshine". Gluskin was very friendly to her. She was 4 years younger than him, and he always said that the boys of her generation were killed in the WW II. for that reason she married late. He even joked that, had he not been married already, he would have married her. All of us (in our branch of algebra) wished her good and all of us celebrated when she married and in a couple of years gave birth to a son - when she was about 40.
